2024 was a year full of changes and challenges. On the international political stage, China’s head-of-state diplomacy wrote a magnificent new chapter, injecting strong impetus into world peace and development. Political situations in many European countries changed. In France, the prime minister resigned due to a no-confidence motion, and in Germany, Chancellor Scholz’s government failed to pass a confidence vote, triggering adjustments in the European political landscape. In the economic field, the Federal Reserve cut interest rates to open a new round of easing cycle. Although the U.S. economy showed relatively good growth, the inflation problem persisted, bringing certain uncertainties to the global economy. In terms of science and technology, Chang’e-6 achieved the first lunar back sampling and return in human history. This is another great achievement of China’s space industry and has taken an important step for mankind in exploring the mysteries of the universe. Looking forward to 2025, it is hoped that all countries can strengthen cooperation, jointly address various challenges, promote the stable development of the global economy, achieve more achievements in science and technology and other fields that benefit mankind, and make the world a better place.
